Previous projects have included translation and distribution projects for language groups in Africa, SE Asia, South America, and Eastern Europe.

A Simple Word exists to help you understand the Bible. We want to encourage you to read the Bible. We want to help you understand what you read.

Because so many people in the world know English, we write in English. But because not everyone who knows English is a Native Speaker of English, we write in Simple English. We write in Simple English so that the largest number of people can understand what we write. We write in Simple English to make what we write easy to understand and easy to translate.

We write the way we do to help you will learn what the Bible says about God. We also hope that A Simple Word will help you come to know God and learn to follow the ways of his son, Jesus. The people who wrote these pages think that this is the most important thing anyone can know.

Hear A Story is a place to find sets of audio stories from the Bible. The recordings are made in simple English. The stories are short. They use very small word sets. So, even if your English is quite limited, you will be able to listen and understand. But each recording will include all of the important details of each story. If you are an ESL or EFL student, you will find them helpful in your study of English. If you are just beginning your search to understand the Bible, they will be helpful to you as well.
